Silver and Gold played prelude and interlude music for a Tri-Chapter meeting of Delta Kappa Gamma in Silsbee on May 2 and played for an outdoor wedding in Natchitoches on May 30. Sizzlin’ Strings Studio students Lillie Minion and Levi Bonner beam as they receive the news of their audition-based acceptance into the Rapides Symphony–sponsored District Honor Orchestra.

           Lillie is the daughter of Bobby and Jennifer Minion of Evans.  Levi is the son of John and Kathy Bonner of Evans. Dr. Karen Gordy is their private string teacher.  Rapides Symphony conductor Joshua Zona will conduct the orchestra in the 2009 concert later in the school year.

           Other Sizzlin’ Strings students who qualified for District Honor Orchestra by earning Side by Side positions include Eden Bonner, violin, Jenae’ Riley, viola, and Caleb Minion, cello.
